Reflections Before Rest Pt. 2

Date: Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 10:23 PM

What did you learn today?
I learned that learning to control your emotions is incredibly important. It’s vital to pause before reacting. In that pause lies our true freedom, the freedom to choose, to reflect, and to decide what outcome we want to bring into existence from the unseen.

What are you grateful for today?
I’m grateful for taking care of myself, getting enough rest, drinking plenty of water throughout the day, and eating fruits and vegetables. I’m also grateful I made time to work out and take steps toward my goals.
Beyond that, I’m thankful simply to be alive today, to feel the breeze, to witness a beautiful sunrise and sunset. I’m especially grateful for my little family and the fullness of life they bring into mine.

What is one thing you enjoy the most?
I realized how much I enjoy creativity and witnessing the creativity of others. Humanity continues to amaze me. I could never be bored because the creative force within people is so powerful. I would love to live forever just to see all the incredible things humans will continue to bring into existence.
Poetry, music, architecture, engineering, medicine—whatever we are, we’ve been gifted by God with the ability to create.

What can you do to get closer to God?
I can meditate. I can read the Bible. I can pray. I can take time every day to give thanks to the Most High and connect with the kingdom within. I can seek God within myself and align with the divine source that connects all living things. The light of God has been placed within us, and it is always waiting to be remembered.

What type of life do you wish to create?
So far, I’ve created a beautiful life, a life filled with creativity, love, action, giving, and receiving. And I want to continue expanding it.
I want to experience more beauty, more wisdom, more love, more joy, more gratitude, more abundance, both spiritual and financial. I want to live a life that allows me to care for myself, my loved ones, and my community. A life aligned with purpose and led by the spirit.

Anything else on your mind?
Today was a lovely day, and this evening feels even more delightful. Typing on this keyboard and letting my thoughts flow feels sacred. I spend my days giving to others, but this space, this writing, is how I give back to myself.
It allows my inner creator to speak, to bring to life the thoughts and emotions that would otherwise remain quiet. Writing helps me extract the goodness that God has given me today and truly appreciate the miracle of being alive.

How do you wish to show up tomorrow?
With God’s grace, I hope to wake up full of joy and energy. I want to show up with a positive mindset, an attitude of service and gratitude. I want to bring joy, love, and faith into all of my interactions.
I am going to create a beautiful masterpiece tomorrow, a day worth living fully.
